How is this for a throwback?
This was originally taken back in 2011, if I recall. I setup some strobes on the side of the house and thought it would be fun to document the entire process. I had this great plan to do finish my “52 Weeks Project”, which was a self-portrait every week along with an explanation about how it was done.
This was shot with a Nikon D700 and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8. For lighting, I used 2 Calumet Genesis 400s shot bare @ 1/2 power (one high camera left, one camera right) and an Alien Bee Ringflash shot into cloud diffuser high, just right of the camera, all triggered with CyberSyncs. The little video above was shot with a Flip Ultra HD and edited using iMovie. (Audio: “Gravy” by Allessandro Oliviero).
