Okaloosa Island Pier

Taken under the Okaloosa Island Pier in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I have wanted to try my hand at one of these shots forever. I finally got out to try one. With my tripod in the surf and struggling to figure out my settings and focus at 9:00pm at night, I finally got what I wanted. ISO 100, f/2.8, 25 second exposure. Nikon D700 & Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8.

Old Kentucky Home

I would frequently pass by this old house after picking up my daughters.  Finally, I had my camera with me and stopped to snag a quick photo.  Taken in Middletown, Louisville, Kentucky.

After the Storm

This was taken immediately after a rain storm at my home in McDonough, Georgia. I grabbed my Sigma 105mm macro lens and took this photo of a rain drop on a bush outside my front door.

Jerk

We Are One

Photomerge of my wife and I.  Easily one of her least favorite images I have done to date. ;-) Behind the scenes look at making this image on my blog.

Middletown Snow

I love this large tree in the subdivision across the street. As soon as we had a decent blanket of snow I walked over to take this. Louisville, Kentucky.

God Bless You

Asociacion obras del Espiritu Santo in San Jose, Costa Rica.

As we left Asociacion obras del Espiritu Santo, I walked outside and found a small boy sitting on a small Vespa. I began to take his picture and while doing so, I heard someone talking next to me. My friend simply said “Wow”. In shooting around my area, not everyone is friendly, often times violent, and I was waiting for her to tell me that the older gentleman was upset at me taking photos. Instead, I was told that while taking pictures of the young boy, the man you see above, was saying over and over “Thank you, God bless you, thank you, God bless you.”

Kentucky Winter

One of my favorite houses to photograph. Louisville, Kentucky.
